Royal wedding frenzy grips Bhutan

Preparations for public celebration of king's marriage having a positive effect on the Himalayan nation's economy.

 
Despite its modesty and simplicity, the first royal wedding under Bhutan's democratic constitutional monarchy is fast becoming a national affair for the people.
With everyone gearing up for this weekend's public festivities, the wedding of King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and 21-year-old Jetsun Pema is becoming a boon to the Himalayan nation's economy.
